HISTORICAL OF EJISU AND QUEEN NANA YAA ASANTEWAA I

Ejisu is a popularly called Queen City by the youth of the area and is one of the towns named in the history of Ghana because of the Great Queen Nana Yaa Asantewaa I of the blessed memory of who led in the 1901. Near  the end of the nineteenth century, the British exiled King Prempeh from the hinterlands of the Gold Coast (present Ghana). By 1900, still not going dominance, the British sent a governor to the city of Kumasi  to demand the Golden Stool which symbolizes as "Th Ark of covenant of the Asante people". The battle came and her speech found an African audience and stirred up the men when she said, "If you men of Asante will not go forward, then we will. We the women will fight the white men until the last of us falls on the battlefields". The war with the British rolled in 1805 and ended a century. Later which Nana Yaa Asantewaa I was capable to conquer the British and this brought a peacefully living for the people of Asantes. Nana Yaa Asantewaa I the bravery woman.
